The pattern is a traditional one called Oak Leaf. I've already had a great response, it's one of the patterns that everyone seems to enjoy.
The
quilt above is in the International Quilt Study Center and Museum Collection. It was made in New York about 1850. I do like the sawtooth sashing and blue and white always looks good.
